And when it&rsquo;s cold, rainy, and you\u2019ve been up early, you think of soup with croutons.<\/p>\n<p>For 3 hardy souls who\u2019ve spent their day outdoors.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>300g dried giant beans<\/li>\n<li>1 sprig of rosemary<\/li>\n<li>1 sprig of sage<\/li>\n<li>300g pikeperch fillet<\/li>\n<li>3 slices of slightly stale whole-grain bread<\/li>\n<li>1 clove of garlic<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 head of green cabbage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Prepare the Beans:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Soak the beans for a full day.<\/li>\n<li>Rinse them in clear water, then simmer them for 4 hours in salted water (twice the volume of the beans) with the sage and rosemary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cook the Cabbage:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Braise the cabbage for 15 minutes on low to medium heat, then set aside until plating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Make the Croutons:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Brown the bread slices in a bit of olive oil, then rub them with the garlic clove.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prepare the pikeperch:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Cut the pikeperch into pieces and add them to the bean broth just before serving.
